In the middle of June 2012, my daughter and I relocated from San Francisco to Chesterfield, Virginia. I grew up in Virgnia so this is a homecoming for me. My daughter was four when we left so she doesn’t remember a lot of specifics about living here. Since we left she has visited but only for a week or so at a time about twice a year. We lived in California for six years which in the span of an average lifetime is small. Yet, San Francisco and California made a big impression on us. The environment we left and the place we return to are quite… different. This blog chronicles our return in one word (sometimes more) a day.
